We are currently searching for a Sr. UI Designer for our Solon, Ohio office. This is a regular, full time position.
The selected candidate will be responsible for design, definition, and ultimate success of a user interface for next generation test and measurement products. The candidate will work with customers and various groups within the company to understand user applications and implement user centered design to create a flexible intuitive user interface that can be incorporated into Keithley products. Industrial Design and/or Human Factors Design experience is highly relevant.
Job Requirements:
1. Work with Applications, Sales, Marketing, and key customers to identify customer needs.
2. Define and develop inductive user interface that provides fast and easy access to commonly used instrument features.
3. Storyboard (wireframe, etc…) concepts to test viability with internal teams and potential users before hardware implementation. Be able to articulate strength of your design, and willing to refine as appropriate to best meet customer needs.
4. Communicate effectively with software/firmware engineers who will implement the strategy.
5. In some cases the candidate may influence or recommend the physical interface, in others they may be expected to work with an existing hardware interface.
6. The candidate will be an information architect, creator of the customer experience for new product releases and a key contributor to advancing the company goals of speed and simplicity for our customers.
Knowledge and Experience:
A four-year technical degree and at least three years experience in User Interface design for technical products is required. Knowledge of measurement equipment is a plus.
